Paranoid Ferret's Website Finally Launched

Posted in:

We've been around for a while, but always seem to be working on everyone's website but our own. Over the last few weeks, however, we finally put together a website for our little company, Paranoid Ferret Productions.

We went for a pretty simplistic design - no Flash or crazy animations, but we did add a few Javascript effects to spice it up a little (hats off to The Tallest for writing that up). We're completely open to any comments, good or bad, that you might have about its design or functionality.

If you feel like it, you can even comment on the source code. It is still a little messy (The Tallest is probably going to go in and refactor some of the CSS at some point), but it does conform to the XHTML 1.0 Strict standard. Here is a fun tidbit from the standard: you are not allowed to use a plain '&' in the href of a link - you are actually supposed to escape it and use '&'. It was tested in all the major browsers: IE6, IE7, FF2, FF3, Opera, and Safari. If you find a problem with one of those, or any other browser for that matter, let us know.

Anyway, enjoy the site. It might give you some information about us that you probably don't know. Next up is a new design for Switch On The Code.

I never realized till this post you guys were from Indy. Been watching this blog for a while and I'm glad to see there are some other Indianan guys (I'm in Valparaiso) working with Flex and other newer tech RIA development because it sometimes feels like I'm on an island out this way. :)

Welcome to the Indiana RIA developers club. I think that brings the grand total up to four. I totally agree with your island comment. It's great to see some activity here in the midwest. I hope you've been enjoying the blog!
