The SOTC team just got Macs

So far we're just discovering all the crazy things that make it different from Windows. We got them to create iPhone apps, but I'm sure we'll be posting all sorts of Mac development tutorials in the near future.

My official opinion so far: they're cute - but with a console!

The keyboard is driving me nuts. However, it has some pretty nifty print screen support.

What's the print screen command? I agree about the keyboard. The keys that are killing me, end, home, page-up, page-down, and the delete key.

The keystrokes are hellish, but it has more power than Windows. http://www.techiecorner.com/138/how-to-do-print-screen-in-mac-os-x/

The delete is killing me the most.

I just bootcamped it. It runs Vista better than my other laptop.

I'll spend most of my time in OS X, but I did this as an experiment to see if the Mac could run Oblivion.

You know, I used a mac for two years back at Diamond Oaks, I never really had that much issue with it. Though, I was using Photoshop and flash the whole time.....

I installed Photoshop, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I assume CS4 will be pretty much the same on the two platforms.

Besides the command keys, like you said, they are pretty much the same.

The ExpectedBehavior crew got the common files all happy for the Mac this weekend. You can grab them from here: http://github.com/expectedbehavior/common-files/tree/master

Down at the bottom it says how to install them.

Oh, and if your wondering how you can get Git on your Macs - theres no better way than MacPorts (all your favorite *nix utils for the mac).
